High Pressure Washer units typically come with color-coded nozzles: a 0-degree red nozzle for pinpoint force, a 15-degree yellow for stripping, a 25-degree green for general cleaning, and a 40-degree white for washing delicate surfaces. For most industrial equipment, a 25-degree nozzle is the safest and most effective choice. Always start washing from at least three feet away and gradually move closer until the dirt is removed. Starting too close can easily gouge wood, strip paint, or damage delicate electrical seals on a vehicle or machine.

When washing, work from the top down so that the dirty water runs off onto the uncleaned areas below. For heavy grease or oil, a High Pressure Washer should be used in conjunction with a professional-grade detergent.
